Black Swan...

I found this on the blog of Kelly Oxford, I have copied the comments of her husband which he made while watching Black Swan. Do I need to say more? He has allmost exact reaction on this movies as I had.

And the Oscar goes to....

The biggest winners are:
- The King's Speech
- Inception
- Black Swan
- Social Network
- The Fighter

The Kings Speech is a very interesting and bit historical movie. I liked it, it is not "typical" movie we see on screen (read: action, fight and sex). No, this movie actually tells a story. Before the Oscars, many have speculated that the Social Network would be the big winner on the Oscars. I think it so unfair to give any Oscar to this movie; it was such a boring movie. There was no spectacular play by actors and the story itself is not that interesting. The fighter on other hand was also a very interesting and unusual movie. I loved how Christian Bale plaid in the movie. It’s totally worth to watch. Black Swan, I have nothing positive to say about this movie. I barely could watch the half of it and then I gave up.

"Take me Out" or PLEASE take that girl out!!

I probably shouldn't write this, but I cant take it anymore. My sister is huge fan of programme "Take me out", so I have watched that programme with her for a while now. I cant help it but notice that one girl is for a very long time on the show now. Lucy, I wouldn't call her ugly or unattractive, but somehow nobody chooses her. It would be that noticeable if she didn't flirt with the guys that much. So to guys out there: Please take her out!

Seth Godin on the tribes we lead

About this talk

Seth Godin argues the Internet has ended mass marketing and revived a human social unit from the distant past: tribes. Founded on shared ideas and values, tribes give ordinary people the power to lead and make big change. He urges us to do so.

Spanish fashion chain Zara is caught on plagiasm.

One of the world's largest fashion retailers which owns Zara stores and several other global chains has withdrawn a series of T-shirts from its shops after bloggers complained the company was copying their photographs from the internet.

The T-shirts were removed from the Inditex group's Stradivarius stores after complaints from teenage fashion and style bloggers who said the company was using the photographs they posted of themselves on their sites. The striking similarity between the T-shirt pictures and those on sites run by 19-year-old Swiss fashion blogger Michèle K and France's Louise Ebel left the Spanish company unable to deny the allegations.

"It is a pity that they did it behind the back of me and all the other bloggers," Michèle K said. "I feel a bit angry about it just because of the fact that they didn't had my permission to use my picture. It would be no problem if they asked me, but they didn't. And that's kind of a lack of respect, in my opinion."

"I'm very disappointed," said Ebel, whose face features on at least two Stradivarius designs. "This is irrespectful towards our intellectual property."

A spokesman for Inditex confirmed that the T-shirts had been removed from racks. "They are from an outside designer," he said. "We are trying to work out exactly what the situation with these shirts is. The company we used should have got the rights. That would be the norm."

The beauty of a good night's sleep: Why eight hours' shut-eye really does improve your looks

Forget lotions and potions. Don’t bother with a new dress or hairstyle. The best way to improve your looks is to treat yourself to some good old-fashioned beauty sleep.
Those who manage eight hours a night look far more attractive than those who are sleep deprived, according to scientists.
Twenty-three healthy young adults were photographed after a good night’s sleep, and again after much less.

Sleeping for eight hours a night makes you look more attractive, research shows

Each picture was then rated on an attractiveness scale of one to ten by members of the public. And the well-rested won hands down.
Young women who took part in the study were not allowed to use make up and had to wear their hair down for both photos, just in case a particular style was slightly more flattering.
Beauty Sleep

On the first night they slept in their own homes and were told to go to bed at 11pm and set their alarms for 7am. On the second night they were allowed to sleep no more than five hours and were monitored in the laboratory to ensure they did not get any more. The result? They looked much worse after less sleep.
‘Sleep deprived people are perceived as less attractive and less healthy compared with when they are well rested,’ said the study, which was published in the BMJ and carried out at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm.
‘Apparent tiredness was strongly related to looking less healthy and less attractive.’
Although the notion of beauty sleep has often been dismissed as a myth, research is growing that shows sleep really can enhance your appearance.

Sleep has also been shown to reduce wrinkles in the face and neck. This is because when we are asleep we sweat more, and this moisture on the skin smooths out any lines. Experts recommend at least seven hours a night but the average Briton manages little more than six.
